Alternatives to No Win No Fee
Although No Win No Fee is widely used to bring claims it is not the only way to do so.
Legal Aid (now called Public Funding) was removed for most personal injury claims in 2000. However, it is still available for some types of claim e.g. clinical negligence, assault, and for very complex specialised or high cost cases.
We always discuss your funding options when we first see you. This will include whether you may be entitled to Public Funding.
Another alternative is Legal Expenses Insurance. You may not be aware that you even have it. Again we will discuss this with you in full at our first (no charge) meeting with you. If you do have it then, subject to there being a good case, such a policy may be available to pay your legal costs for you.
In some types of claim eg Criminal Injury Compensation Authority or MIB claims where the rules of the scheme mean we cannot recover your costs in full, we may be prepared to act under a special form of No Win No Fee called a Contingency Fee Agreement.
In these circumstances we will agree to act on your behalf and be paid an agreed sum or percentage out of what you win.
